2021 Range Re-Opening Protocol

IMPORTANT UPDATE: As of December 4, 2021, the Trap Ranges and Rifle/Pistol Range are open to the public (Saturdays only, 9AM - 3PM).

Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required. In Santa Clara County, everyone must wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status.

The Sunnyvale Rod & Gun Club will re-open its trap ranges to the public starting Saturday, November 6th, and its Rifle & Pistol range on Saturday, December 4th. Public Hours will be 9AM - 3PM on Saturdays, but the facility will be closed on Christmas Day in 2021 and on New Year’s Day in 2022.

  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination will be required to enter the Club grounds (at the gate).
  • Proof can be in the form of the white card, or the state QR code on a mobile device.
  • People 18+ years old will need to provide identification matching the white card or QR code.
  • People 12 - 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who can vouch for their identity.
  • All visitors to the club, whether they will be shooting or not, must immediately upon exiting their cars in the parking lot, wash their hands at a wash station, then proceed to a computer station and log in. Parents will be responsible for logging in their minor children, and supervising them at all times.
  • All visitors to the club must have and use ear protection. All shooters and minors must have and use eye protection.
  • All visitors to the club must have a mask in their possession, but need not wear it outdoors.
  • All visitors to the club must wear a mask at all times in indoor areas (e.g., Rifle & Pistol Range, restrooms, Trap Ready House), regardless of vaccination status.
  • All visitors to the club must comply with instructions from club Safety Officers.
